Sign Writing Apprenticeship

Junior 15-19 Years old.  

Viscom Pty Ltd is a leading Sign and Promotional products supplier on Brisbane’s Southside.

Currently a apprenticship is available for a enthusiastic, reliable, well presented team worker to join our company.

You will be an integral part of a team, enjoying the variety and challenge of Manufacturing and Installation of Signs for Cars Trucks and Buildings. This position will suit someone enjoys their creative side with an and artistic ability that has an excellent eye for fine detail and will also enjoy a hands on roll in production team. Experienced with hand tools, drills, grinders is required and a eye for detail an advantage.

The successful applicant will have to demonstrate high levels of computer skills along with the ability to multi-task.

This is a Full time, interesting and varied position

Good communication skills are required for liaising with customers.

Some knowledge of graphic programs (Corel Draw/Photoshop CS4) are a definite advantage.

Must be an Australian Resident.

Key Duties:

Liaise with team members to co-ordinate the printing production process, to meet specified deadlines

Operating large format digital print & cut machines

Laminating, trimming and packing prints

Assembly of sign products

Customer liaison

Other duties may be assigned.

Excellent attention to fine details.

Have a great sense of humour & think outside the box

You are a good self manager, can accept input & constructive criticism and can work in a team environment.

You will also have a great attitude, positive work ethic and passion for all things digital.
